Khiva

Samarkand
Samarkand was once the capital of the Timurd Empire. Even though you maybe never heard about the Timurid dynasty before, you will get an idea of their power by admiring their architecture.
Tashkent

Kokand
You shouldn’t miss the Ferghana Valley, especially the city of Kokand. It was the capital of the former Kokand khanat and has beautiful sights, as the palace from the 19th century, worth visiting. If you have time and you are interested in handicrafts, you should also visit the cities Rishtan and Margilan. As Rishtan is famous for it’s blue ceramics, Margilan is famous for it’s silk and cotton fabrics. In both cities you have the chance to watch the process and meet the masters.
